1. yes, i have seen the movie taken. no, i will not share a cab with anyone except alex.
2. i figure this will be the easiest way for me to keep in contact with everyone-- i stole the idea from alex. (thanks!)
okay. blogs. i don't really like them that much, but for this trip it will be, by far, the best way for you to keep up if you want, and this way when i get back i don't have to tell stories of all fifty days thirty thousand times. i'll also be able to keep track of the things alex and i have done, so some things will just be notes for her and i. feel free to leave comments here, or, loving friends, revert back to my facebook page if it's inappropriate. i know how you all are, and yes, i do expect some of these messages. i'll need a good american laugh every now and then.
i'm not sure how often i'll have internet access. though the cell phone will work, i won't be using it often at all, especially not on days when i know i will be going to an internet cafe. so, mother dearest, if you don't get a text by nine pm, don't call the embassy just yet. check your email instead.
thank you to everyone who is interested and/or chooses to follow & support us throughout our travels. alex's blog is linked to my page (see you in singapore!). feel free to look over her stuff as well. we will try to post some pictures as time goes along, but again, we're not sure what complications and conveniences we're going to have.
and don't expect anything from february 1-11th.
we'll be hangin with the monks.
meditating.
a lot.
